End september 2026 – ✨ Update ✨
Litter update:
We are waiting to see if Éowyn is pregnant. So more info in october. Fingers crossed!
We also finally have a litter of our precious lady who we waited almost 3 years for to get pregnant!!!!
We tried with all our males. She rejected 3 males, then we had an infertile male and then she had a long break of not getting into heat. Only after meeting our super sweet boy Zennie she agreed. Yes, our girls have the final say in who they want to go on a ”date” with. It is a very small litter, and we are also keeping one ourselves and one is going to another breeder. If there are kittens looking for a new home, it will be known later in october and I will update WhatsApp first. I can tell you for now they are healthy, growing well and are really super cute and beautiful colors too (chocolates only).
New cats coming to Lunar Fields:
We are supersupersuper excited to announce that we have a couple of young stars coming to join House Lunar Fields next month! One is my long long long awaited chocolate solid tabby male. So happy! He will be the last to join our male group. It is for males, in my experience, very important that I match them at a very young age so this year with Lewie retiring after 7 years and Yoshi rehoming as a pet, I ”needed” new males. 3 different (blood)lines, 3 different colors, and all 3 super different. Hopefully these 3 super social kittens will keep liking each other so they can be in one group and not live in isolation as so many breeding males. Fighting is very normal for uncustrated (active) males, especially with females around. Curious in our new boys? Keep an eye out for an update end of october.
Cattery work:
And, as always in the cattery when it is a tiny bit calmer: I am really busy preparing, we bought some new big cattrees and the ”playroom” and ”nursery” are getting a huge make-over as well. Let’s just say that my hands are pink and blue right now! The nursery room is a room where the ladies can be in their last week of pregnancy and first week(s) of nursing tiny kittens. When the new momma cats want to find a nest and get comfortable. They barely are active, except chill and get a lot of attention and extra food. That room is very quiet, no kittens or chaos-cats allowed, and then they feel safe and are relaxed when they have to deliver. Which is very important. This room is getting a very classic, or maybe even cliché theme: blue and pink. Because who doesn’t love a cozy babyroom?!
I also bought a new sewing machine, so soon I will hopefully be sewing my own catbeds and hammocks!
A lot of people don’t realise that all this, is also a part of breeding. But thankfully after more than a decade of breeding, we got quite experienced with ”diy-ing” and all this stuff. The outside playpen is getting a tiny refreshment and some new cat-friendly plants, I am making new ”nest boxes” for the moms, diy-ing some toys and a loooot of shopping.
As you can hear, I am pretty excited. Autumn and winter are the months we have a little time between litters and that’s the only time a year when we truly have a bit of time for all this. I will ofcourse upload a photo when it is all done.
More news soon. But if you are interested in a kitten or in our plans for 2027, you’re always welcome to send me a message!
To keep it clean, we’re deleting old updates.
