Stud Service
At Lunar Fields Ragdoll Cattery, some of our Ragdoll males are available for breeding.
Requirements
- Females must be healthy, in good physical condition – no eye fluid or dirty nose
- Females must have a recent (max 4 weeks old) fiv-felv test
- Females must be vaccinated and chipped
- Females must have the nails clipped
We understand that for many people this is a new and unfamiliar experience. There’s no need to worry, we are very experienced and will guide you through the process.
How a stud visit works
- Females are usually brought on day 2–3 of heat
- You arrive with your female in a sturdy carrier; we handle paperwork and payment
- Owners do not enter the stud area to keep things calm
- Introduction is done by us, supervised and camera-monitored
- Your female stays ca. 2 days
- We’ll let you know when she’s ready for pickup – depending on amount of matings, her behaviour etc.
Fee & Conditions
- Stud fees are agreed individually per male
- Fee includes stay, supervision, care, food, and if needed a second mating attempt
- Non-pregnancy must be reported within 6 weeks – no later
- No repeat mating for litters of 1–2 kittens (considered successful)
- Sick females will be refused or must be collected immediately (no refund)
- Please bring females only when clearly in heat; early visits may disrupt the cycle
